Warren Central High School
Caverna High School
The Lady Colonel bowlers showed up in a big way on Monday night at Ralphie’s Fun Center. The Caverna team took on the Co-Ed team from Warren Central in a match that saw the Colonels start fast and finish fast. Warren Central put together a 3 boy and one girl team that were tough and experienced bowlers.
In the first head to head game the Lady Colonels were led by Katy Phipps with a 160 game. She was followed by Shiana Smith and a 154. The scoring was rounded out by Madison Patel with a 152 and Megan Cox with a 139. The first game came down to the final frame where Smith sealed the win with a three strike tenth frame. The four pin win gave momentum for the second head to head game. This was a totally different story when it came to scoring. Both teams started slow but built as the game wore on. The Lady Colonels were led by Smith with a 204. Cox followed with a 149. The ladies won the game by 66 pins total. Smith rolled a smooth 358 series and leads the team with a 151 average this season.
In the Baker’s matches the girls continued to roll posting a 152 and a 169 to take the match 5-0. The fifth point came on total pin count where the ladies out paced the Dragons by 152 pins.
The Colonels are in action again on Thursday taking on Barren County at Ralphie’s.
