Lady Netters show spunk in loss to Glasgow

The Lady Colonels Tennis Team id winless this year, in fact they have only
won a lone court all of this season-and now they are down to 3 players.
Yet they fight for every point and are relentless in their optimism each
time they don their Colonel uniforms Tonight was no different as Joy Beth
Heberly and Destiny Atwell fell 4-6, 2-6 to their Glasgow opponents while
newcomer Kimberly Wilson, improving each time out, was felled 1-6,1-6 in
singles. These three young ladies epitomize the spirit of competition when
knowing they are most always outgunned from the get go. Give these three a
pat on the back when you pass them in the halls.

The Boys, only a few weeks from fighting the Scotties to a tie, were smash
mouthed by a 5-0 count tonight and it wasn’t even that close. Sam Bowman
suffered his first loss 6-0, 2-6 to Nick Morosa and Zack Reed was bested
6-0,6-0 by Drew Johnson. Tyler Reed and Isahia Boles were beaten by a team
they had beaten in the earlier match-Glasgow came out tonight 6-1,6-0. The
Lessenberry twins swarmed over Justin Sturgeon and Carter Fields to the
tune of 6-0,6-1. The Boys have a chance to right their ship this Friday
when they face LaRue away and then on Monday they travel to
Franklin-Simpson before Regional play on May 6.
